ZATAR is a chef-owned restaurant located in the theater district of downtown Berkeley, near the UC Berkeley campus. We use only naturally-raised meats, organic milk and eggs for our housemade yogurt and pastries; and hand-selected, organic fruits, herbs and vegetables – many harvested daily from our own organic garden. We compost all raw kitchen scraps for our organic garden and vegetarian leftovers are fed to our laying hens – Iris and Ruby.
