For such a small restaurant, Zatar prides itself in its generous, diverse and unique list of wines. Although the wine list is ever-changing, its focus is on wines which pair particularly well with the cuisine. The list includes both Californian and Old World selections and features several lesser-known Mediterranean varietals. So while there might not be as many Merlots or Chardonnays as on your typical wine list, you can be confident to discover a unique wine which will pair exceptionally well with your dish. Kelly Majid, who selects all of the wines, believes that a great wine should compliment the food, not overwhelm it.
